Newspost v. 2.0 Now with 88% less angst!!*

10/17/03

So Wednesday's newspost was kinda dull and cranky sounding, but that's because I made it in the morning instead of the might before like normal. I am not a morning person. There are exceptions to this, but most of them are related to camping, which is mutually exclusive to updating the comic. Unless I stumble across a bear with a wireless network, I guess. If that happens, I'll send you a note from his cave right before he mauls me.

So do you notice a difference? Doesn't the comic look waaaay hotter today? The smooth edges, the perfect circles, the word balloons, the out-right glory of finding a program that makes good shapes besides paint... I think I just wet my pants from all that glory. I found out that Flash MX is not just for animations, but it can draw stills as well. It is so much better than my old way of throwing the comic together in Photoshop and Paint.

In another sweet turn of events, The Bridge, the most widely circulated college paper in Oregon, will probably start running Mike and Nix start with the first issue of November! I don't know exactly how this is going to work. The Bridge only comes out every other week and Mike and Nix kinda needs the first 8 comics to be understood properly. I'm not worried about it yet, but I'm hoping they'll run a couple per issue. That's also why I'm attaching the URL to the image from now on. Anyone reading it in the paper can come here for "the rest of the story" or whatever. Regardless of all the bugs to work out, it's going to be awesome to see Mike and Nix in print.
